We make our Truss Rods out of multiple layers of wood, cross hatching layers of veneer to make them stronger.

The leather is the perfect thickness which fits over the combo tail pin/port without struggling to put it on or breaking it. The wooden insert is placed low so there’s no danger of cracking it during use. Smooth leather back doesn’t leave leather bits on your clothes. All in all a great personalized addition to my guitar. Bought the flying “freebird” dove motif. Fits a Taylor GS mini too.

This truss rod cover looks just as I expected and fits perfectly on my Taylor 414ce-R.
I ordered this about 3 months before getting my Taylor 300 series nylon. Completes the look and is very well made.
The hummingbird truss rod cover is very nice and fitted perfectly. My only wish is that the hummingbird engraving was a bit more visible from distance.
