Human Touch

Constructed by a proprietary silicone blend that exactly mimics the elasticity of the human finger and works great on 12-string, Baritone, and 6-string guitars. Comes in both standard tension and high tension (2mm thicker) configurations. Human Touch Standard Tension Fretpads, work with all 6-strings, while High Tension Fretpads are designed to handle 12-string, Mandolins, Ukuleles & thin necked guitars.   For more information on our all NEW Human Touch™ fretpads.

TEFLON SLIDING

Our Teflon Fretpad’s material attributes are the complete opposite of rubber. While rubber is soft and binding, Teflon is hard and slippery. These characteristics, produce a noticeably more vibrant tone and allow the strings to bend and slide beneath the capo, which help to keep your guitar in tune. This makes teflon act like a finger instead of a nut.  Comes in both standard tension and high tension (2mm thicker) configurations. Teflon Standard Tension Fretpads, work with all 6-strings, while High Tension Fretpads are designed to handle Mandolins, Ukuleles & thin necked guitars. * Not to be used with 12-strings or Baritone guitars.

RUBBER

Our Rubber Fretpads are harder than our OctaveTouch fretpads but are still soft enough to bind the strings to the fret, keeping them from moving beneath the capo.    This makes them act like a nut.  Traditional capos have always used rubber due to its conforming characteristics. Every Thalia Capo comes with a set of our Standard & High Tension Rubber Fretpads.

Partial esus

These rubber fretpads convert any 200 series Thalia Capo into a Esus Partial Capo. When the capo is installed from the treble side (bottom) of the neck, strings 2-3-4 or 1-2-3 will be fretted.  When installed from the bass side (top) of the neck, strings 3-4-5 or 4-5-6 can be fretted.  These are very useful with alternate tunings.

The cornerstone to the best guitar capo out there

Thalia capos are simply the best. Beside outstanding construction, each capo offers fret pads for specific guitar radiuses. I personally like the high tension specific radius pads for my thin necked guitars (over the more generic Octave Touch) and purchased pads for each of my guitars. Nothing quite like them for outstanding clean capoing.

Bought for 12 String

Nice soft pad for a new 12 string. It does a great job on 11 of the 12 strings but doesn’t put enough pressure on the A octave string. Will need to find another solution.

Fretpads for a 12 string Taylor

I recently purchased new fret pads for my Thalia capos specifically for my new Taylor 12 string. They work so much better than the previous capo I was using. I’m a believer!

Octavetouch High-Tension Works!

I bought a mint Taylor 360e 12-string, built as a dreadnought. I had a high-tension regular fretpad but it didn't give me uniform intonation with this particular guitar. I bought the Octavetouch high-tenion model in 15" and the intonation problems vanished. Better sustain, no buzz, and far clearer tone. What a difference! Incidentally, this guitar was the first one I ever had a problem with my Thalias, and it was a simple $4 fix. Thanks!!!

This is why my Thalia Capos will last forever.

My capo pad was getting a little long in the tooth. So I replaced it and the neck pad too. Good thing the Thalias are engineered to have user serviceable parts! And for a couple of bucks too! It’s like it’s brand new, 7 years after I bought it. Now that’s nice.
