GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Technology

Our proprietary GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pads are modeled after a Gecko's foot, using suction instead of adhesive to adhere to your guitar.

We tested multiple formulations of micro-suction material before finalizing the formula for our GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pads.  Some formulations were far too aggressive and others not quite aggressive enough.  Instead, we wanted it to adhere safely to the guitar's finish but not so aggressively that it could cause damage to delicate finishes. The pad's surface contains thousands of microscopic air pockets that create partial vacuums between the puck and the target surface. It isn’t pressure sensitive and won't leave any residue behind. It can also be used repeatedly without losing its gripping power.

Very nice pick guard!

The Taylor Academy 12 does not come with a pick guard but I wanted one. I looked all over and the black and red faux tortoise are available but I just thought this might bling up a rather understated guitar.

It looks great and matches the copifera headstock veneer better than anything out there, and the quilted Pommele Sapele is deep and rich. I like it!

Just What I Needed

For some reason the stock pick guard on the new 724 CE really clashed in my mind. I think it's likely because I prefer darker colors. I was looking for the darkest wood that I could find and came across this. They were out of stock on the plane one so I grabbed the one with blue abalone. Ultimately, it isn't a perfect match on the inlay, but I still think it looks really good. This is exactly what I wanted and even if it wasn't, I can easily change it later because these are so simple to remove. Regardless, the quality of the product is shockingly good.

Pictures are worth 1K words, so the saying goes. My Taylor GS Mini obviously benefits aesthetically from the upgrade. I thought the install would be tough but I followed the instructions on the Thalia site and it went perfect. Saved myself $75 (which is what the local guitar store would have charged me). Very satisfied with the quality of this pickguard.

Fantastic

Love it, aesthetically pleasing. Much more so than the plastic stock pick guard. The extra height also makes anchoring while fingerpicking a little easier.
