Another Beautiful Capo

After my purchase of a Thalia Teal Angel Wing capo, I received the customary e-mail asking if I would write a review. I am happy to do so. I have five Thalia capos, all ordered to accompany either my two top-end tenor ukuleles (a Kanile’a custom D series and a Ko’olau custom) or three baritone ukes (a Kanile’a, a Cocobolo Ukulule, and a Pono Master Series). These capos compliment the instruments wonderfully as to both looks and function. They are easily better at fit to the baritone ukes than anything else around, as well as the tenors, and the materials used on Thalia capos give a good natural barre chord sound. Admittedly, a Thalia capo is not inexpensive, but if you have a fine instrument, it is fitting to accompany it with a high-quality capo.

A minor work of art

And it works so well. Beautifully consistent tone across the fretboard, with minimal to no effect on intonation.

Awesome capo! Works well and looks even better.

4 stars because there was not an Ebony with Gibson Custom block inlays instead of the slants. I ended up going with the Gold Gibson Rosewood with Peral slanted Inlays. Would still look to purchase an ebony with block inlays if it was developed. I am going to look to see if they have a Macassar Ebony to match my Martin next.

Stars and stripes

This patriotic capo is a real eye catcher and works great.

Fretboard Radius Guide By Guitar Make & Model

To achieve a perfect fit, the Thalia Capo comes with multiple interchangable fretpads so that you can match the fretboard radius of your specific instrument. The following table lists common fretboard radii used by major manufacturer.  If you do not find your specific brand and model below you can Google your guitar make/model plus the words "fretboard radius"; if that doesn't work you can use the manual method which is described here

Please Note:  12-String & 8-String Guitars should use our High Tension OctaveTouch fretpads to get the best performance.  Standard Tension and High Tension Rubber fretpads are included with every capo.  Our Teflon fretpads will likely not work on instruments with octave strings. size chart guide fret board
